1. Who we are
ImanPintar ("ImanPintar", "we", "us" or "our") provides tools for managing and displaying prayer times, adhan and iqamah schedules, mosque or surau information, announcements, media and related display settings. This policy applies to the ImanPintar website, web app, progressive web app and official desktop or mobile applications (collectively, the "Service").
2. Information we collect
Account and organisation information
When an authorised administrator creates or uses an account, we may process a username, a securely hashed password, assigned role, mosque or surau name and the account's association with that organisation. We do not store passwords in plain text.
Content and settings you provide
We process information submitted to configure the Service, such as prayer-zone and location settings, schedules, announcements, mosque details, background images, documents and links to video or streaming content. Administrators are responsible for ensuring they have permission to upload or display this content.
Device, log and usage information
We may automatically receive an IP address, randomly generated installation or display-device identifier, device status, last-seen time, browser or app user-agent, session information, diagnostic events and security logs. We use this information to operate paired displays, maintain sessions, prevent abusive login attempts, diagnose faults and secure the Service.
Location
If you enable automatic location detection and grant permission, the Service may access your device's approximate or precise location to select relevant prayer-time settings. Location access is optional and can be denied or withdrawn in your device or browser settings. You may instead configure a location or prayer zone manually.
Camera and microphone
If an administrator enables the live-camera display feature and you grant permission, the Service accesses the selected camera and microphone so their live output can be presented on the local display. ImanPintar does not record or upload this camera or microphone output to its servers as part of the standard live-camera feature. Access stops when the feature is closed, changed or permission is withdrawn.
Local storage and cookies
We use essential session cookies and local device storage to keep users signed in, remember interface choices, create a display-device identifier and prevent repeated playback of scheduled audio. You may clear these items through your browser or operating-system settings, although doing so may sign you out or reset app preferences.
Analytics
Some parts of the Service use Google Analytics to understand general usage and improve reliability. Depending on Google's configuration and your device settings, analytics information may include page or screen activity, approximate location derived from an IP address, browser or device information and interaction events. ImanPintar does not use this information to sell personal data.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, authenticate, maintain and improve the Service;
- calculate or display relevant prayer information and configured content;
- pair, monitor and support authorised display devices;
- save administrator settings and user preferences;
- detect fraud, abuse, unauthorised access and technical problems;
- respond to support, privacy and security requests; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.
4. How information is disclosed
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose limited information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: hosting, infrastructure, security, analytics and technical-support providers may process information on our behalf to provide their services.
- Organisation administrators: authorised administrators may access information and content belonging to the mosque, surau or organisation they manage.
- Third-party media services: if an administrator configures YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive or another streaming provider, your device connects to that provider and the provider may receive technical information under its own privacy policy.
- Legal and safety reasons: we may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect users, investigate abuse or defend legal rights.
- Business changes: information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. Third-party services
The Service may connect to Google Analytics, YouTube (including privacy-enhanced embeds), Vimeo, Google Drive, official prayer-time sources or media URLs selected by an administrator. These services are operated independently and their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. App stores and operating-system providers may also independently process download, purchase, crash or device information under their own policies.
6. Data retention and deletion
We retain account information, organisation settings and submitted content while they are needed to provide the Service or while an organisation's account remains active. Device records, security records, backups and technical logs may be kept for a reasonable period for security, continuity, troubleshooting and legal compliance. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and applicable requirements.
You may request access, correction or deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity and authority over the relevant account or organisation. Some information may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution or backup integrity. If a future mobile version permits users to create accounts inside the app, it will also provide an in-app route to request account deletion.
7. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of or a copy of your personal information, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing. You can revoke location, camera or microphone permission through your device settings, clear local app data, or contact us about your request. Withdrawing permission may disable the related feature but will not affect processing already lawfully completed.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information. These include encrypted HTTPS connections, restricted administrative sessions, password hashing and access controls. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International processing
Our infrastructure or service providers may process information in Malaysia or other countries. Where required, we take reasonable steps to use appropriate safeguards for international transfers. Privacy and data-protection laws in those locations may differ from those in your country.
10. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for mosque, surau and organisation administrators and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly request children to create administrator accounts or knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices, features or legal obligations change. We will publish the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service where appropriate.
